STEN ULLOA CARLER was born in 1997 in Denmark but moved early to Chile where he started playing the piano. After moving to Sweden in 2006, he started taking private lessons with Zinaida Oganova-Larsson. He then continued at Södra Latins gymnasium with Ann-Sofi Klingberg. Bachelor's studies then followed at Ingesund's Academy of Music with Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist before he moved to Paris in the autumn of 2019 where he is currently studying his master's at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) for Roger Muraro.

HELENA HA-YOUNG SUL
Helena founded the Gothenburg Piano Festival 10 years ago. She has extensive experience performing in national and international festivals and competitions and wants to give the same opportunities to young pianists. At the age of 7, she won 1st prize in the 49th International Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg and has since performed in several festivals and concerts around the world.
She has studied at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music, Copenhagen, the Royal Academy of Music, London and the Conservatorie de Genève, Switzerland and participated in several master classes with established educators and pianists. She passes on her knowledge, which has been characterized by the masters Dominique Merlet, Christopher Elton and José Ribera and more. She is the initiator and artistic director of the Gothenburg Piano Festival and an active piano educator and piano instructor for e.g. Side by side under the auspices of Gothenburg Concert Hall.

VILHELM MOQVIST
I started playing the piano when I was seven years old. Very quickly, I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life playing piano and studying classical music. Over the past few years I have been able to achieve quite a lot. I have played many recitals and I have played with major Swedish orchestras. I have also successfully participated in a couple of competitions. Among others, in 2018 I won the main prize of the Steinway Piano Festival in Stockholm and got to represent Sweden at the International Steinway Piano Festival in Hamburg, where I played at Laeiszhalle. This January I got to the finals of Polstjärnepriset, where I played with the Gothenburg Symphonic Orchestra. In February this year I was selected as one of five to play with Bergens Philharmonic Orchestra as a part of De Unges Konsert in Bergen, Norway. Since the autumn of 2019 I am studying for the Swedish concert pianist Roland Pöntinen. As well as being a pianist, I would also like to study conducting in the future!

VALENTINE BOUCHAUD My name is Valentine Bouchaud and I am eighteen years old. I started playing the piano when I was six years old. My first teacher and inspiration is my mother who is also a pianist. For 5 years I was part of a project "young talents" by piano teacher Thomas Rydfeldt at the Gothenburg Academy of Music. Today I study at Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet with a specialization in music where Björn Månsson is a piano teacher. I play pieces by different composers but right now my favorite composers are Rachmaninoff and Beethoven. Music has always been my greatest passion and in the future I see myself studying music further.

ALBIN AXELSSON is a 21-year-old pianist born in 1999. He is currently studying at the Ingesund Academy of Music for Mikael Kanarva and prof. Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist. Albin has participated in a number of events. For example, he played Mozart's piano concerto no. 23 with Umeå Music Society. He has also played at Umeå University's spring promotion and given solo concerts, one at the Norrland Opera. He was awarded the Norrlandsoperan's music scholarship in 2017 on the grounds that "he shows talent of a considerable nature on his instrument". Albin has not only been active in Umeå but also in other parts of Sweden, participated in piano competitions such as "Nordic Piano Competition" and he has participated in masterclasses both in Sweden and abroad with internationally recognized piano educators and has also performed in these contexts.

DANIEL HORMAZÁBAL is a multifaceted concert pianist who is well rooted in the traditional concert audience, but who also has a burning interest in connecting with a younger generation of listeners and challenging the conventional concert form. Through a long collaboration with the Royal Opera's department "Young at the Opera", he has introduced classical music to a younger audience, often in collaboration with singers, actors and dancers, but also as a soloist. In addition to his solo career, Daniel has a great interest in playing chamber music, not least with his acclaimed piano trio "Trio Scandinavia." Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2011, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician around Europe, the USA and Canada and regularly performed at several festivals in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Italy. In 2016, he graduated from Edsbergs Slott, where he studied for Prof. Mats Widlund, with a packed diploma concert in the Grünewald Hall, Stockholm Concert Hall. Daniel has been awarded several prizes and scholarships, including second prize in the Ljunggrenska competition in Gothenburg, St. John's Lodge's large music scholarship, the Royal Academy of Music's National Scholarships for several years in a row and their large ensemble scholarship together with Trio Scandinavia. Daniel is currently studying his next big project, which is a solo program containing Chopin's four ballads and ballads by Beach, Barber, Saariaho, Liszt and Grieg.
